Pleo is fitted with sensors for touch, sound and sight. His knowledge grows as he gets to know his surroundings. Pleo will demonstrate various reactions depending on the stimuli that he encounters. Every Pleo Dinosaur comes off the production line with a certain behaviour pattern programmed into him. As he learns about his surroundings and the people that inhabit them, he will gradually change his behaviour until he eventually has a completely different personality to all of the other Pleo's roaming the earth.

Pleo can sense anger and annoyance, joy and sorrow. When he is tired, he will nod off or even go into a deep, restful sleep.

If your Pleo comes into contact with another one it will recognise it as a fellow dinosaur and they will communicate and enjoy each other's company.

The Pleo robot is an authentic Life Form created by the robotics company, Ugobe. Show him the kindness that you'd show any other living thing and he will reward you with his own love towards you. Your Pleo will signify how he feels from minute to minute because he is programmed to exhibit actual emotions such as joy and sadness, fear, sorrow and agression. You will also see him sniff, sigh, yawn, cough, sniffle, snore, hiccup, and sneeze.

Your Pleo has an insatiable thirst for knowledge and he will be forever exploring his surroundings and the environment around him. He will be very wary when he walks towards the edge of a table. If he is frightened then don't be surprised if he begins to cry. He may also stretch when he first awakens and he is quite likely to lose his temper and stamp his foot when he thinks that he has waited too long for his next meal.
